Priority 1: Quality of teaching and pupil achievement – taking learning & teaching forward

We aim to have teachers who love to teach and children who love to learn

  • All lessons good or better – high quality first teaching
  • Teachers confident in their subject knowledge to ensure all children are challenged
  • Raise standards of achievement in Reading & particularly SPaG &Year 1 Phonics test
  • Raise standards of achievement in Maths
  • Improved pupil progress - Children make expected or better progress in all areas of development
  • SEN children make good progress given their starting points
  • Close the gap for disadvantaged pupils
  • Teachers confident in assessing & informing next steps
  • Creative teaching e.g Consistent use of outdoor learning, ICT, first hand experiences
